Command Points

In the game, you can send your sworn swords out doing the following things:

1) Adventures
2) Quests
3) Helping others with quests
4) Alliance Challenges
5) Player-to-Player attacks (like Barter and Fight)
6) Defending against Player-to-Player attacks
7) Alliance-vs-Alliance attacks
8) Garrisoning in a camp

Out of this list, only (2) and (3) can be done unlimited times simultaneously. Everything else depends on something called "Command Points" (CP for short). CP means the number of Sworn Swords you can use at the same time for things like Adventures, PtP, and AvA. You get 3 CP at level 5, and then one more every five levels. So a level 25 character will have 7 CP, a level 80 character will have 18 CP, and so on.

When purchasing sworn swords, it is advisable to aim for as many (preferrably common or peerless) SS as you have free CP. If you can control 25 SS, you can send 25 out adventuring with the adventure parties. In addition, have a few more to send out for quests and to help others in their boss challenges.

Question for Ronnet re Command Points

Postby Desmera Longbough » Mon Apr 28, 2014 11:07 pm

Ronnet, I've been noticing as I barter PvP that, if I launch from the Keep, my CP only show up on the page where I select a player, and the total doesn't update unless I exit and come back in. It's faster to barter from our alliance members list, but do you know a way to monitor CP from there? Guess I could resort to keeping a tally on paper...

I usually just send everything to one place or send some approximate amounts to different people. Currently I have 73 CP - 2 from reaching level 5, 8 from talents, 1 for every 5 levels I have. I'm guessing pen and paper might not be a bad idea.

When I go to target someone, I see next to my character at the top 'Command: 0/24' Does that mean I have 24 command points that I'm not using, or my SS has 24, or what? What do I do with command points? Please point me to the basics about command points.
